The Venue's Website could not be reached under either of its likely web addresses, so no direct check was possible (checked Sep 1, 2026). This listing describes a Friday music open mic. A 2020 newspaper feature describes a Thursday variety event instead [s1]. A different listing for the same venue describes a poetry-only first-Friday event. None of this conflict has been resolved.
Checked Sep 1, 2026: the venue's own current homepage carries a post dated Aug 25, 2026 announcing 'Kern Poetry First Friday Open Mic at Dagny's -- September 4th at 6 PM,' naming the host and co-host [s1]. The same page shows a run of past write-ups from Dec 2025, May 2026, and Jul 2026, confirming an ongoing monthly series [s1]. A 2023 news article corroborates the host's name from the series' earlier history [s3].

Weekly on Mondays, 7:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
No official website exists for this venue and no dated citation from the venue itself or the press could be found (checked through Sep 1, 2026). A search produced a conflicting day claim (Wednesday instead of Monday) that appears to blend results from a different venue in the same area and was not adopted. The claimed Monday open mic remains entirely unconfirmed.
Sources mention Sundays but are not confirmed; actual night is unclear.

This comedy open mic's day is disputed, with Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday all claimed elsewhere, and an open-mic listing site's own page for this venue could not be opened to help resolve it. The only real evidence is a 2020 newspaper quote from a venue partner naming Sunday [s1]. No current source confirms this open mic still runs on any day.
Weekly on Sundays, 6:00 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
The venue's own location page (checked Sep 1, 2026, fully readable) has no mention of 'open mic' [s1]. Listing-site-only leads like this one typically fail this kind of own-site check without that meaning the event is closed, so this negative supports an unconfirmed status rather than a closure. No corroborating or refuting source was found.

Weekly on Thursdays, 8:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
A description of this venue's regular weekly schedule — trivia on Monday, karaoke on Tuesday, whiskey night on Wednesday, live music on weekends — never mentions a Thursday event at all, raising real doubt about the claimed Thursday open mic. A follow-up check found the Venue's Website did not display enough content to confirm or rule out anything directly, so this remains unresolved rather than disproven.

Weekly on Fridays, 7:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
No official website could be found for this venue (checked through Sep 1, 2026). A review corroborates general Friday live music here but doesn't describe an open-signup mic specifically. No positive or negative evidence for the open-mic format itself was found.
Weekly on Wednesdays, 7:00 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
The venue's own homepage (checked Sep 1, 2026) never mentions an open mic; Wednesdays are a 'Family Game Night & Cornhole Tournament' instead [s1]. A 2020 newspaper feature first linked host Chris Flail to this venue [s3]. A listing site shows a Flail comedy showcase here in April 2025 [s2]. That showcase fell on a Friday, not a Wednesday. Whether the Wednesday comedy open mic still runs is unresolved.
A listing site read on 2026-09-25 disagrees with the Wednesday night here: badslava.com lists Monday 8 PM, record has Wednesday. Which is current is unresolved — check before travelling. Something about this has changed recently — confirm before going.

No Venue's Website could be found to check this listing directly, and further searches turned up only general history about this bar, with nothing confirming an open-signup music mic or a specific karaoke night. Whether this listing accurately describes the venue's regular programming remains unresolved.

Weekly on Thursdays, 7:30 PM. Only one source reports it.
No source states plainly whether this venue's 'Bakersfield Unplugged' event is an open sign-up or a curated residency for booked performers; its billing, 'featuring great local talent,' leans toward curated. The hotel's own current homepage carries no events calendar and does not mention this series at all, so it neither confirms the event is running nor that it has ended.
Every other Wednesday, 7:00 PM; which weeks is unclear. Only one source reports it.

This venue runs Friday live music, a separate, non-conflicting event, confirmed via a local news feature and the venue's own social media handle (checked Sep 1, 2026). A listing-site page describing a Wednesday open mic here turned out to be for a same-named venue in Oceanside instead, now discarded. No official website exists for this Bakersfield location, and no new evidence for the claimed open mic was found.
