Busboys and Poets - 14th & V

9th of every month, 9:00 PM — the date is fixed, so the weekday changes.

A poetry-reading directory, checked Aug 13, 2026, describes ‘Nine on the Ninth’ as a monthly reading held on the 9th of every month at 9 PM, with featured readers plus an open mic, hosted by the venue's poet-in-residence [s1]. Because it is pinned to a calendar date rather than a weekday, the day genuinely varies from month to month. The venue's own short events list did not reach far enough ahead to confirm a specific date.
