Occasional. Runs seasonally.
The city of Mountain View's own government page says people can usually find music on Friday and Saturday nights at the court square stage or at Picking Park, just west of the square (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. This describes an informal, bring-your-own-instrument jam with no formal sign-up or fixed schedule, and it is unclear whether it runs only in spring through late fall.
