Weekly on Thursdays, 8:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
The venue's own current homepage, checked Aug 14, 2026, states: 'AlleyCat is Iowa City's premier venue for live and local entertainment. With Open Mic every Sunday AND Thursday...' [s1]. The page also reveals a second, previously unrecorded Sunday open mic at the same venue, but doesn't specify a genre for either night, so the type remains unconfirmed.
