Macalester College's own student paper confirms MacSlams is an ongoing, recurring event, with a feature dated April 2025 covering an appearance at a Midwest Poetry Mash-up [s1]. A Twin Cities spoken-word listing site states the college 'still has a monthly slam' as of a check on Aug 14, 2026 [s2]. Whether the general public, not just students, may attend or perform was not stated anywhere and remains unresolved.
