Venue's own page is titled 'Live Music at Kettle,' but its open mic invite text just says to bring your talent, so music-only is not fully confirmed.
Kettle Coffee & Tea ("Kettle on Grand") — open mic
Thursday? · 6 PM · sign-up 5:30 PM
Sources mention Thursdays but are not confirmed; actual night is unclear.
Call to confirm the night
The sources disagree on the night.
The venue's own blog, last posted in 2013 according to its post history, explicitly separates a Thursday 'Open Mic Night' from Friday's booked live-music lineup, but hasn't been updated in 13 years and can't confirm the mic still runs today (checked Aug 31, 2026) [s1]. A student newspaper article and a city tourism calendar that might clarify current status could not be reached.
