Bread & Salt — "Palabra" poetry open mic (formerly at La Bodega Gallery)
4th Thursday of the month · 7 PM · sign-up 6:30 PM
Call ahead before you go
The fourth Thursday of each month, 7:00 PM. Something about this has changed recently — confirm before going.
La Bodega Art Gallery closed at the end of 2019 after a rent dispute; its last show was Dec 14, 2019 [s5]. Its website is now a parked domain [s6]. Palabra poetry open mic is still active at Bread & Salt, listed there Feb 26, 2026 (Thursday, 7 PM) [s3]. Bread & Salt is about a mile from the old gallery. It was listed there again March 26, 2026 [s4]. Both dates suggest a monthly fourth-Thursday schedule, not twice-monthly.
