The Fillmore Silver Spring's own events page makes no mention of 'Fillmore Cares,' an open mic, or a Monday event (checked Aug 14, 2026). A news article describes a Monday, April 29 'Fillmore Cares' charity night, 6-9 PM, with a $5 cover for a nonprofit, but its publish year could not be pinned down [s1]. A separate Thursday claim is unconfirmed, and the cover charge raises a fit question with the site's no-cost criteria.

Society Lounge's own website confirms live-music hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but does not mention an open mic anywhere (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. Live music on several weeknights is confirmed generally, but a dedicated open mic is not corroborated elsewhere.
