The one candidate source for this open mic could not be loaded. More importantly, local news coverage confirms Black Bear Brewing and Pub reopened in October 2025 under new ownership (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. Any earlier open-mic information therefore belongs to a different operator and cannot be assumed to carry over. No source describes an open mic under the current ownership.
A guitarist's blog post about this open mic, from July 2009, is about 17 years old [s2]. Archived newspaper articles from 2008-2009 describe it too, similarly old. A biography of its hosts, Larry and Leslie Latour, says they ran 'the Orono Dadgad open mike coffeehouse together until they moved to Arizona,' past tense, then five years in Sedona [s1]. It gives no move date, doesn't say who continued, and no 2025-2026 mention was found.
