We created A Good Place for Music to support the NY Capital Region music community — to help aspiring musicians and technicians overcome financial, technical, and social barriers and celebrate their shared passion for music.
Our Mission
Encourage artistic collaboration, mentoring, and skills development by providing a low-cost, high-quality facility for performance, recording, and production. Connect musicians to opportunities by creating and promoting a community collection of artists and their music where event organizers can hire performers and fans can buy their songs.

Our studio is also an intimate venue with seating for 5–25, a cozy stage, 3-channel PA, theatrical lighting, and a Yamaha MOXF8 88-key synth, and multi-camera live-streaming capability. Audio is controlled in-studio or from a separate control room with 18+4 digital channels and our multi-display Linux and Mac touch-screen station for recording, mixing, and mastering with Kali Audio IN-5 3-way studio monitors.
