The organization's own calendar lists ‘QT Hangs: Open Mic’ with an instance on Jul 31, 2026, one of several rotating Friday community socials at its own space (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. It is also listed on a ticketing site and an events site. Sources checked give the address as 925 N Lime Ave rather than an earlier 5045 Fruitville Rd. How often the mic recurs is unclear.
The venue's own page confirms ‘The Sandbox’ open mic, hosted by WSLR 96.5 FM's ‘The Cat Lady,’ runs the fourth Monday of each month (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1].
A news article on patch.com suggests it may have ended.
Weekly on Tuesdays, 10:00 PM. The Venue's Website has gone offline since we found this.
The only corroboration for this weekly Tuesday event is a news article whose underlying coverage dates to 2011-2018 [s1]. That is too old to show a weekly event is still active, so as of Aug 14, 2026 this does not confirm the listing is current.
Sources mention Tuesdays but are not confirmed; actual night is unclear. Something about this has changed recently — confirm before going.
Call to confirm the night
The sources disagree on the night.
Al Fuller's blues jam is no longer at the Five O'Clock Club. The host's own site shows it now running at Jungle Hideaway in Sarasota every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, with dates listed through Dec 29, 2026 (checked Sep 7, 2026) [s1]. The Five O'Clock Club's status is unresolved, not closed -- only undated listings call it closed. Its own website no longer mentions Sarasota, Hillview Street, Monday, or a jam (checked Sep 7, 2026) [s4].
A page on swfllive.com lists this night, but may not be current.
Weekly on Wednesdays. Only one source reports it.
A business-listing site and a social media post were the original support for a Wednesday music open mic at Manna Tea & Kava Bar. On rechecking Aug 14, 2026, the social media post loaded no readable content and the listing site was blocked; this listing is flagged separately over an unresolved question about which location is meant.
The venue's own event-booking page shows a upcoming instance of Open Mic Night on Jul 23, 2026, running 7 to 9 PM every Thursday (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. An earlier concern that this listing might be fabricated has been cleared by this independent re-check.
