The sources disagree on the night.
A review site's event listing, re-checked Aug 14, 2026, gives a start date that recomputes to a Wednesday, contradicting the 'last Tuesday' claim it is cited for [s1]. The venue's own e-commerce storefront site has no mention of an open mic or comedy, though it reads as a merch page rather than an events page, so that silence carries little weight. No fresh confirmation or closure statement was found.
The event organizer's own site, checked Aug 14, 2026, still describes a Poetry Open Mic at Edwards Place on the first Wednesday of each month [s1]. Archived copies of that page show real content changes from Feb 2025 through May 2026, the most recent about three months before Aug 14, 2026 [s2]. A recheck on Sep 5, 2026 reconfirmed the listing, with no contradicting evidence found.

A page on middleillinoiscomedy.com lists this night, but may not be current.
The second Wednesday of each month, 7:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
A local comedy listing site remains the only source naming Fluid Lounge's Wednesday open mic. A guessed community-calendar page for the venue 404'd, and a local alt-weekly's own site shows a genuine zero-results page for 'fluid lounge comedy' (checked Aug 14, 2026). With neither positive nor negative dated evidence found, this stays unknown.
Every other Wednesday, 8:00 PM; which weeks is unclear.

A community events calendar, checked Aug 14, 2026, lists a Theater & Comedy open mic on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, 7 PM, with dated instances Aug 19 and 26 and Sep 2 and 9, 2026 [s1]. A separate Karaoke night at the same venue on other days is a distinct, different-format event, not a second open mic.
A Springfield alt-weekly's community calendar carries the venue's own phone number, address, and social media link, plus upcoming Wednesday listings for Aug 19, Aug 26, Sep 2, and Sep 9, 2026 (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. The Venue's Website could not be reached, and its social media page could not be checked directly.
