The Comet Grill

Both sources give the same night and time, but neither confirms recent activity.

A press listing confirms a Tuesday country/folk open mic here, hosted by the Smokin J's, matching the listed day and type [s2]. The same house band also runs a separate Tuesday open mic at Smokey Joe's Cafe, a different Charlotte venue — worth distinguishing rather than treating as a duplicate. The venue's own music page did not surface a clearly dated current listing (checked Aug 14, 2026).
