The venue's events page lists this night, but may not be current.

Weekly on Tuesdays, 8:00 PM. Only one source reports it.

The Venue's Website once hosted a dated event page for 'Bart's Open Mic Night,' dated Nov 26, 2024, confirming the event was real and open to all genres, not music-only [s2]. That page no longer exists, and the venue's current homepage does not mention an open mic at all (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s3]. The freshest dated evidence is from Nov 2024, well before Aug 14, 2026.

The sources disagree on the night.

This listing is for Common Market's Plaza Midwood location, 2006 Commonwealth Avenue. An open-mic listing site lists a Thursday music open mic here (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. Other descriptions of this location's Thursday programming instead call it 'Trivia Thursdays,' not an open mic -- a direct conflict with that claim. Common Market's actual open mic nights are described elsewhere at its South End location instead.

A ticket page on meetup.com lists this night, but may not be current.

The last Saturday of each month. Only one source reports it.

A 2024 article refines the cadence to the last Saturday of every odd-numbered month, quoting 'our 15th show' [s1]. A 2023 listing and a Jan 25, 2025 listing describe the same odd-month pattern. A Nov 29, 2025 listing also agrees [s2]. The organizing group's page is active with frequent events into Aug 2026, but references several venue locations, so this venue's cadence could not be pinned to a 2026 date (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s3].

Weekly on Fridays. Only one source reports it.

A downtown Charlotte civic listings page says Common Market hosts a weekly Comedy Open Mic on Fridays, hosted by Jacob Manlucu (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. An open-mic listing site shows the same Friday comedy event, with an occurrence dated Aug 14, 2026 [s2].

The sources disagree on the night.

A civic events listing, checked Aug 14, 2026, confirms Common Market SouthEnd's Friday open mic is comedy, hosted by Jacob Manlucu [s2]. This is not music, as recorded here. A current open-mic listing page agrees. Other sources separately describe a music open jam at the same venue on Tuesday. Either this listing has the wrong day for its music event, or the Friday comedy event was mistyped as music; this is unresolved.

The venue's own event page describes 'Crown's Comedy Throw Down,' a comedy open mic running every Wednesday with sign-up at 8 PM and the show starting at 8:30 PM, hosted by JD Colwell, free to attend (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2]. This corrects the genre from music, as originally listed. A news article describes the same event.

The sources disagree about whether it still runs.

The Venue's Website keeps a portfolio archive of 'Way Out Open Mic' editions by date; one dated Jan 7, 2026 confirms the series was running then [s2]. Other press describes it continuing into 2026 with new lineups. The venue's general homepage and events page do not currently mention an open mic (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s3]. The dated portfolio entry remains the more specific, more recent evidence.

Both sources give the same night and time, but neither confirms recent activity.

The sources disagree about whether it still runs.

The original article describing this holiday open mic is about eight years old and names no specific venue; this remains a genuine dead end after earlier attempts to identify one (checked Aug 14, 2026).

Weekly on Tuesdays, 6:30 PM. Only one source reports it.

The venue's own ticketing page lists the next Jambox Open Mic for Wednesday, Aug 19, 2026 at 6:30 PM, describing it as a monthly event on the third Wednesday (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2]. This corrects the frequency from weekly, as originally listed.

The sources disagree on the night.

The venue's own current events page does not mention an open mic (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2]. Other sources indicate Petra's regular Wednesday program is karaoke, not an open mic, though Petra's does separately offer an open mic on some other, unspecified night. This suggests the Wednesday listed here may be the wrong night.

The venue's own events page does not mention an open mic (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2].

Both sources give the same night and time, but neither confirms recent activity.

A detailed press feature describes a well-established weekly Tuesday open mic with 8:30 PM sign-up, a 9:30-10:00 PM house-band set by the Smokin J's, the open mic itself running 10:00 PM-1:00 AM, and a $5 cover [s2]. This corrects the listed 8:00 PM start to a later time, though the article's own publication date could not be confirmed, so it is informative but not dated evidence (checked Aug 14, 2026).

Weekly on Mondays, 9:00 PM. Only one source reports it.

The venue's own homepage does not mention an open mic (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2].

Weekly on Tuesdays, 7:00 PM. Only one source reports it.

An open-mic listing site shows a Tuesday comedy open mic at Starlight on 22nd, hosted by @kaylakandicomedy with DJStylus, with an occurrence dated Aug 18, 2026 [s2]. This corrects the genre from music to comedy, as originally listed. Other listings also describe a separate Wednesday open mic at the same venue, of unconfirmed genre.

A press listing confirms a Tuesday country/folk open mic here, hosted by the Smokin J's, matching the listed day and type [s2]. The same house band also runs a separate Tuesday open mic at Smokey Joe's Cafe, a different Charlotte venue — worth distinguishing rather than treating as a duplicate. The venue's own music page did not surface a clearly dated current listing (checked Aug 14, 2026).

An open-mic listing site lists this open mic on Mondays [s1]. The venue's own events page confirms 'Find Your Muse Open Mic' is currently running, with showtimes around 7:00-7:30 PM, but does not show the exact date or day (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2].

Weekly on Thursdays, 8:00 PM. Only one source reports it.

The venue's own homepage does not mention an open mic (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2]. A guessed events page could not be loaded, so nothing can be inferred from that attempt.

A listing on badslava.com lists this night, but may not be current.

An open-mic listing site lists a Wednesday music open mic at this venue (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. Other descriptions confirm the venue exists and hosts open-mic-adjacent events -- concerts, DJ sets, and comedy showcases -- but no dated confirmation of a Wednesday open mic was found (checked Aug 14, 2026).

An open-mic listing site shows a comedy open mic at The Royal Tot on Sunday, Aug 16, 2026, held every other week (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2]. This corrects the genre from music, as originally listed.

Weekly on Wednesdays, 8:00 PM. Only one source reports it.

The Venue's Website is an online store page that never describes the bar itself, so it cannot confirm or rule out a Wednesday open mic (checked Sep 7, 2026) [s2]. An open-mic listing site is the only source describing this event [s1].

The sources disagree on the night.

An open-mic listing site lists Tommy's Pub's open mic as Tuesday music (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. Other descriptions instead describe it running on Thursday, with Tuesday being karaoke night, directly contradicting that. A dedicated Facebook page agrees with Thursday but could not be read to confirm directly.

The venue's own homepage lists 'Open Mic Night' every Monday, with the next date given as Monday, Aug 17, 2026, describing 'live music, good beer, and great company' (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s2]. The specific genre is not stated on the page. An open-mic listing site is still the only source describing it as music [s1].
