The Venue's Website lists this night, but may not be current.
Weekly on Thursdays, 7:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
The Venue's Website places it in downtown Ann Arbor, describing it as 'an Ann Arbor institution for over 130 years' [s1]. This corrects this listing's earlier city of Dexter. Whether the Venue's Website mentions an open mic could not be determined; the page showed too little text to confirm or rule out the event.
As of August 2026, the Venue's Website confirms 'Comedy Jamm every Thursday at 7:15 PM,' hosted by Bruce Umpstead [s1]. A seasonal day switch — Wednesdays October through April, Thursdays May through September — has not been verified directly, but is consistent with today falling in the Thursday season.
A page on hearsaybrewing.com suggests it may have ended.
As of August 2026, an attempt to check hear.say brewing's own website for any mention of an open mic did not produce a reliable result — the page used could not confirm or rule out one way or the other [s1]. Whether the Thursday open mic is currently offered remains unconfirmed.
The Ark's own events calendar, under its Open Mic category, lists four upcoming dates for The Ark's Open Stage: Monday, Aug 24; Wednesday, Sep 2; Wednesday, Sep 9; and Monday, Oct 26, 2026 [s1]. The day genuinely varies between Monday and Wednesday, never Thursday, with an uneven cadence — an established irregular schedule rather than an unknown one.
