The Venue's Website suggests it may have ended.
The venue's own homepage, checked in full again (Aug 14, 2026), still does not mention an open mic anywhere [s1]. That absence on the venue's own current page lowers confidence, though by itself it is not proof the event has been cancelled.

Weekly on Sundays, 7:00 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
The venue's own events page, checked in full again (Aug 14, 2026), still does not mention an open mic anywhere [s1]. That absence on the venue's own current page lowers confidence, though by itself it does not prove the event has ended, and no other source offers a dated confirmation either way.
The third Tuesday of each month, 9:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
The venue's own ticketing platform shows upcoming instances of ‘Opentoad Comedy Open Mic’ on Aug 18 and Sep 15, 2026, both falling on the third Tuesday of their month, matching a monthly, third-Tuesday cadence (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. Another web page's structured event data describes it, with host Ali Haider, as ‘Athens' longest running stand-up comedy show’ [s2].
The second Wednesday of each month, 7:00 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
A news article dated Dec 10, 2025 confirms this open mic series was running about eight months before Aug 2026 [s1]. The venue changed ownership on Mar 31, 2026 but kept operating without interruption. The new owners' current website confirms open mic remains part of its live-events programming, though it does not name this specific series [s2].
A local news site shows a Mar 9, 2026 headline saying the cafe 'will close' [s1]. A separate report says that's wrong: founder Seth Hendershot sold the business to new owners on Mar 31, 2026, with no interruption in operation. Another news source agrees [s2]. The new website (checked Aug 14, 2026) confirms open mic remains part of its live-events programming but names no day, leaving Tuesday vs. a second Wednesday unresolved [s3].
Weekly on Saturdays, 3:30 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
Whether this is a music open mic rests on a single, unverified listing. The venue's own current calendar contains neither ‘comedy’ nor ‘4:20,’ refuting a conflicting web search claim, but it also does not positively confirm the original music/3:30 PM claim — an inconclusive rather than corroborating result.
Monthly on a Friday, 8:45 PM; no source says which week. The Venue's Website does not mention it.

The venue's events page suggests it may have ended.
The Venue's Website does not mention an open mic anywhere (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. The page shows too little real text to count as solid evidence, so this silence does not prove the event doesn't exist. No other source corroborates this listing.
A listing on openmicx.com lists this night, but may not be current.
A time and event-type contradiction remains unresolved: an open-mic listing site describes a 6 PM music open mic, while another web mention describes a 3 PM jazz jam, and it is unclear whether these are the same event misdated or two distinct ones. The parent company's general locations page, which is not specific to this venue, does not mention an open mic at all, but that is weak evidence, not decisive.

Weekly on Thursdays, 6:30 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
The Venue's Website gave an access error when checked, and a web-archive lookup was also blocked. Whether this open mic exists at all rests on a single, unverified listing, with no other corroboration found.
Every other Tuesday, 7:00 PM; which weeks is unclear.
Call ahead before you go
The venue's own current website confirms sign-up at 6:30 PM and the show starting at 7 PM, free (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. An arts-news listing from Jul 15, 2025 corroborates it, naming the branded event ‘Socially Awkward Comedy’ and its earlier hosts.
The venue's own official website describes itself as a comedy incubator offering open mics, last updated Jun 15, 2026 — about two months before an Aug 2026 check [s1]. Its stated times, a 10:30 PM sign-up and an 11 PM start, match the schedule listed here.
A page on midtownatl.com suggests it may have ended.
No venue-owned website could be found. The only current support for this listing is a single, unverified source. A separate, three-year-old listing names a conflicting ‘Comedy Open Mic’ at the same address, but it is too stale to resolve which is correct.
A page on artsatl.org lists this event, but may not be current.
An arts-news listing from Jul 15, 2025 is the only source naming Fran's Jam at Fat Matt's, and the day of week remains undetermined [s1]. The venue's own events page could not be read earlier. Because the site's priority is never listing inaccurate events, this listing has moved out of the confirmed set, held pending direct venue contact -- the evidence has not changed, only where it is published.
A ticketing site's structured listing, 'Jokes at Joe's -- Monday Night Comedy,' shows a free, recurring weekly show starting at 7 PM (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. Whether the listing's organizer is actually the venue itself was not confirmed elsewhere, so confidence in this correction is moderate rather than high.
A listing site says Thursday. A Jul 15, 2025 arts-news piece says Tuesday [s1]. A Jul 18, 2024 piece says Thursday [s2]. This three-way conflict is unresolved. The Venue's Website never says 'open mic' or 'Thursday,' but shows no day-specific content, so this isn't conclusive [s3]. One unconfirmed description suggests separate nights instead: Tuesday comedy, a Thursday music open mic, and a Friday 'Expressions Open Mic' for poetry.
The Venue's Website carries structured event listings for this Monday show, upcoming weekly through at least September or October 2026 (checked Aug 13, 2026) [s1]. The venue runs three distinct open mics across Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Weekly on Tuesdays, 9:00 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
Whether this is a Tuesday music open mic at 9 PM rests on a single, unverified listing. A conflicting claim that this is a comedy show called 'The Lightning Round' could not be corroborated. The venue's comedy page returns an error. Its homepage, checked in full on Aug 13, 2026, mentions neither 'comedy' nor 'Lightning' anywhere [s1]. Neither claim is confirmed by a primary source.
A listing on badslava.com lists this night, but may not be current.
Weekly on Mondays, 9:00 PM. Only one source reports it.
Whether this is a Monday music open mic at 9 PM rests on a single, unverified listing. The Venue's Website, checked in full, contains neither 'Knight' nor 'Comedy,' refuting a separate claim that this is a comedy showcase, but it also does not positively confirm the original music open mic claim.
A ticketing site's listing for the host's own 'Laughing Library' comedy series names a Thursday, Aug 20, 2026 show at Peters Street Station, checked Aug 14, 2026 [s1].
A ticket page on eventbrite.com lists this night, but may not be current.
Whether this is a music open mic rests on a single, unverified listing. A separate mention of the day, time, and host (Richard Areingdale) is consistent with it but comes from no stable, checkable venue page.
A page on artsatl.org lists this night, but may not be current.
This monthly, first-Tuesday comedy slot rests on a single arts-news listing from Jul 15, 2025, about 13 months old [s1]. It was not reconfirmed from the Venue's Website. Because the site's priority is never listing inaccurate events, this listing has moved out of the confirmed set pending direct validation; the evidence has not changed, only where it is published.
The Venue's Website, in a dated event page from Oct 21, 2025 (about ten months old, checked Aug 14, 2026), states the series runs the third Tuesday of every month [s1]. A local arts listing from July 2025 confirms the same cadence.
The Venue's Website lists this Wednesday Jazz Jam as a current recurring night, linked from a dated Oct 21, 2025 event page [s1]. An open-mic listing site and a local arts publication from July 2025 say the same (checked Aug 14, 2026).
Weekly on Sundays, 8:00 PM. The Venue's Website does not mention it.
The Venue's Website, checked again on both its homepage and About page, still does not mention an open mic anywhere — a second negative from the venue's own live site (checked Aug 14, 2026) [s1]. The original claim traces only to an unverified outside description. The venue's current hours show Friday-through-Sunday Caribbean and reggae parties, in tension with a claimed Sunday poetry and hip-hop open mic.
