Open Mics in East Lansing, MI

The sources disagree about whether it still runs.

Crunchy's own home page does not contain the word 'comedy' anywhere (checked Aug 2026) [s1]. Its events page could not be read for event details [s2]. The site's own navigation menu lists 'Weekly Events > Karaoke' explicitly but no comedy or open-mic item. Whether the Monday program is open-mic format, a booked showcase, or still running at all could not be confirmed.

The Pretty Shaky String Band's own homepage carries a dated notice: 'The Shakys WILL NOT be playing at Dobie Road in July. See you back at Dobie Road in August 2026!' [s1]. This open jam has reportedly run for more than 45 years and received a 2023 Michigan Heritage Award.
